Sweet Creole Cornbread

So I was in the mood for some cornbread, but I wanted to do something a little different. I used 2 boxes of of Jiffy mix, 1 can of cream corn, about 1/4 cup of Zydeco Chop Chop, and seasoned it with about a tablespoon or more of Sweet Creole Onion Blend. OH MY GOSH THIS CAME OUT AMAZING!!! Here’s what I did; So I was getting the iron skillet hot while I mixed all my ingredients together. I mixed the Jiffy according to the box directions, then added a can of cream corn, 1/4 cup Zydeco Chop Chop and about a table spoon of Sweet Creole Onion Blend. Then I let it sit for 5 minutes. While the mixture was sitting I melted 1/2 stick butter in the iron skillet. (I used Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter) I made sure the melted butter coated the bottom and sides of my cast iron skillet, then i poured the mixture in the hot skillet, and placed it in the pre heated oven of 400 degree. I Baked it for 45 mins,(checking it at 20 mins, then every 10 minutes after that. Cook until golden brown. It is so delicious! I would definitely give this one a try! I can also see adding jalapeños and bacon next time ;)
